"This victory is not mine, it is the victory of the residents of the potong pasir. And for those who did'nt vote, i wish to find out how i can better help them." "I hope to correct myself and improve on my performance." Well, something along those lines. Wow, this is humility, it is seriously no wonder why he was re-elected with a larger margin this time round.
As for his opponent, well, his response wasnt as gracious as i thought it could have been. It went something along the lines of "I wish Mr Chiam the best of health". How considerate? I mean, if i were him, i would well, at least congratulate Mr Chiam and wish him all the best or at least attempt to appear sporting by saying i would work with Mr Chiam in order to benefit the residents. From what i see, he is merely trying to get voted in for the sake of getting in. Should'nt the purpose of getting voted in be to help the residents? Then why is it so that $80million from the Ministry of National Dev(people's money!) will not be spared for Potong Pasir.
