i'm bored, seriously quite bored now and i dont feel like sleeping. So i thought i might as well just blog something i've learnt today.

Have you ever thought that the very thing that causes you to fear could actually be the thing that teaches you not to fear ? This story comes to mind of a little boy who fears dogs. Lets call him Eddie. Every day, while walking home, he sees this dog. Not just a dog, but a big fierce Golden retriever(this one is fierce! not chio) He grows up hearing stories of how scary the dog is. The dog is always hidden by the wall, but just the bark immediately brings chills down his spine. Naturally, having heard but not seen the dog, he develops a real fear for dogs. Because he knows it is fierce, but he has never really had an encounter with it.
One day, his dad buys a dog. A cute chubby little chihuahua. Now, this dog is meant to be cute, and his bark is seriously more deadly than his bite. Eddie, at first is fearful of the dog, but after some time, he starts to love the Chihuahua. His lack of knowledge of dogs slowly disappears. Gradually, even his fear of dogs subsides.
This proves a point - the very thing that causes you to fear, may very well be the very thing that causes you to overcome your fear. Eddie feared the Golden retriever, but, through spending time with the Chihuahua, he managed to overcome his fear for dogs completely.

Your fear usually develops from a lack of contact. One reason why Eddie feared the dog so much was because he did not have any contact with the dog. As humans, we usually tend to fear the unknown.

Well, if u dont understand all that i've said above... Just take it that i'm bored. Lol.
